Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Petr Mrazek has been sent to the AHL for a conditioning stint as he continues to work his way back from thumb surgery. He has missed 29 games since getting hurt on Jan. 30. Mrazek got off to an excellent start to the season, putting together a 2-1-0 record with a 0.99 goals-against average, a .955 save percentage and two shutouts. Carolina hasn't exactly missed him, with both James Reimer and Alex Nedeljkovic performing admirably, but Mrazek will provide a nice boost to the team when he's finally ready to play again, which shouldn't take long now. He helped the Chicago Wolves beat the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-2 with a 43-save performance on Thursday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
