St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong has started playing rehab games for the Memphis Redbirds, the Triple-A affiliate of the Cardinals. DeJong is recovering from a hand injury from earlier on this year. He had 41 games under his belt before he was sidelined. During that time he hit .260 with a .356 wOBA. He had a good start to the year with eight doubles and eight home runs. He had 22 runs and 19 RBI. DeJong may not need much time to rehab, and could rejoin the team on an upcoming series. The 24 year old has a bright future with the Cardinals so they will be careful not to push him too hard. Look for him to pick up where he left off, as one of the up and coming shortstops of the game. --Blake SullivanRead More News
