Columbus Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine suffered an upper-body injury Wednesday in the team's first regular season game. The injury occurred midway through the second period in an awkward collision with Hurricanes defenseman Brett Pesce. An unfortunate blow to Columbus if Laine's injury is long-term, as he already scored and had two shots on goal earlier in the contest. Laine had 56 points in 56 games last season, and the Blue Jackets rely heavily on his offensive output.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
