Patrick Cantlay Solid In Safeway Debut
6 years agoPatrick Cantlay finished tied for 17th in his Safeway Open debut. He got off to a solid start by shooting 69-68 in his first two rounds, but failed to break 70 over the weekend to finish at eight-under par for the tournament. While it was a nice start to the season for Cantlay, his DFS backers will be disappointed with a T17 from the golfer that carried the highest salary of the week. The 26-year-old played excellent golf during the 2018 PGA Tour season, but he still hasn't shown that he can consistently dominate tournaments at this point in his career. Cantlay has all the tools to win on the PGA Tour and he should remain on DFS radars throughout the upcoming season. He is not in the field for the upcoming CIMB Classic.
