The Carolina Panthers signed veteran free-agent cornerback Rashaan Melvin to an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday, according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. The Panthers will be Melvin's 10th team. He opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 after signing a one-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Melvin played in 13 games for the Detroit Lions in 2019 and has been an NFL journeyman over the course of his career. In addition to Melvin, the Panthers defense has added Haason Reddick, Denzel Perryman and Morgan Fox as they look to rebuild on that side of the ball. The 31-year-old Melvin has 244 combined tackles (211 solo), four interceptions, 41 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 64 career games (40 starts).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
