3 days agoAtlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (thigh) is available for Friday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He suffered a right thigh contusion during Monday's game and was unable to suit up on Wednesday. It doesn't sound like Young is going to be limited after his one game absence. Jeff Teague will head back to the second unit and lose most of his streaming appeal.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Sarah K. Spencer

3 days agoDenver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. (back) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He's going to warm up pre-game and see how his back feels, according to head coach Mike Malone. He tweaked his back before Wednesday's game and sat out of that contest. Malik Beasley and Torrey Craig would have more minutes coming their way if Porter is unable to play. Beasley is the better fantasy option out of the two.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Katy Winge

3 days agoDenver Nuggets guard Gary Harris (groin) has a good chance of playing in Friday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans, according to head coach Mike Malone. He's missed each of the last five games due to a groin issue. It's unclear whether or not Harris would be limited in his first game back. Fantasy owners will have to check back closer to tip-off for more information. Malik Beasley and Torrey Craig would likely see less minutes once Harris is back in the rotation.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Katy Winge

3 days agoBoston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (ankle) is going to try to play in Friday's game against the Orlando Magic. He suffered a right ankle sprain during Monday's game. He didn't play on Wednesday, but the Celtics could use him with Jayson Tatum (groin) and Enes Kanter (hip) already ruled out. Marcus Smart would earn another start if Brown is unable to play. He'd be worth looking at as a streaming option or cheap DFS choice without Brown available.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Amanda Pflugrad

3 days agoDetroit Pistons center Andre Drummond (mouth) is downgraded to questionable for Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Drummond lost a tooth during Monday's game and the dentist wasn't able to do anything until Thursday because of the swelling. It sounds like the Pistons are going to wait and see how Drummond feels closer to tip-off. Thon Maker, Markieff Morris, and Christian Wood will be asked to step up if Drummond is unable to play.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report

3 days agoBrooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Detroit Pistons. He suffered a left shoulder injury during Monday's game against the 76ers. Claxton was unable to suit up for Thursday's contest, but was able to get in some work on Friday. DeAndre Jordan (finger) is listed as questionable for Saturday as well. Claxton would have some streaming appeal if Jordan is forced to sit out again.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Mollie Walker

3 days agoBrooklyn Nets center DeAndre Jordan (finger) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Detroit Pistons. He's missed each of the last three games due to a dislocated finger. He was able to do some work during Friday's practice, so fantasy owners will just have to wait and see. Jarrett Allen will continue to see heavy minutes and be a fairly solid fantasy option while Jordan is sidelined.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Mollie Walker

3 days agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (hand) was able to go through a full practice on Friday. He was able to get through some contact drills, but won't suit up for Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. There's a good chance that Embiid is able to play in Tuesday's contest. Ben Simmons and Matisse Thybulle will continue to benefit until Embiid is back on the floor.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Serena Winters

3 days agoChicago Bulls forward Lauri Markkanen (hip) is going to miss significant time after suffering an injury on Friday. An MRI revealed a stress reaction of his right pelvis, so he's expected to miss four to six weeks of action. Wendell Carter Jr. (ankle) and Daniel Gafford (thumb) are already sidelined, so the injuries are piling up for the Bulls. Thaddeus Young, Luke Kornet and Cristiano Felicio will all see a significant boost in minutes with the Bulls banged up. All three of them are a worth a look in standard leagues, but Kornet might end up having the most value.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Chicago Bulls

3 days agoBrooklyn Nets forward Taurean Prince put up 18 points, four assists, three rebounds, three triples, and three steals in a 128-113 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Prince re-calibrated his three-point shot, shooting 42.9 percent from the arc after posting two sub-35 percent outings. The 25-year-old has been steady in terms of category production, though owners would like to see him shoot better than his current mark of 38.3 percent from the field. Up next for Prince is a Saturday matchup with the Pistons, who he dropped 20 with five triples against in their first meeting.--Tim Capurso - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

3 days agoBrooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving scored 20 points with four assists, three rebounds, three triples, two steals, and a block in a 128-113 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Irving returned from his injury on January 12 and promptly scored 21 and 32 points on red-hot shooting, but he's since cooled off. It's nothing to be concerned about, considering the 76ers, Bucks, and Lakers- his last three opponents- are three of the best defensive teams in the league. A Saturday matchup with the Pistons could be just what the doctor ordered for Irving, seeing as he dropped a triple-double in his last meeting with Detroit.--Tim Capurso - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

3 days agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard could not have been any hotter as he nailed 16 of 28 from the floor en route to 47 points, but it was not enough in the loss to the Mavericks. Lillard did not stop there as he added eight assists, six rebounds, and a steal while committing five turnovers in his heavy-usage night. Lillard connected on eight more triples and has now scored 108 points over his last two games, which includes 19 of 35 from three. With C.J. McCollum (ankle) missing time, you cannot leave Lillard off your DFS lineups right now.--Gianni Costantiello - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

3 days agoPortland Trail Blazers center Hassan Whiteside had what we could consider a quiet night, but he still managed to record a double-double in the eight-point loss to the Mavericks. Whiteside scored 14 points on 6-for-8 shooting while adding 10 rebounds with a single block and just one turnover. With so many triples being attempted in this game, Whiteside still managed to make an impact as he was a team-high plus-7 in his 33 minutes of action. Whiteside will have a more favorable matchup on Sunday when his club plays the Pacers, who allow 53.9 FanDuel points to opposing centers.--Gianni Costantiello - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

3 days agoPortland Trail Blazers forward Trevor Ariza looked excellent in his debut in a Trail Blazers' uniform on Thursday. Ariza notched a season-high 21 points while adding seven boards, two assists and two steals with four makes from three in 36 minutes of action. Ariza was efficient as he nailed seven of 11 shots and had just a single turnover while being a plus-3 in his minutes on the court. If Ariza can keep this up, he may help the Blazers get over the hump and he should be picked up in most formats in fantasy.--Gianni Costantiello - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

3 days agoDallas Mavericks guard/forward Luka Doncic recorded 27 points, which included two triples, in the three-point fest on Thursday against the Trail Blazers. Doncic did his usual job of filling up the box score, as he added six rebounds, nine assists and two steals in the win. The Mavs and Blazers combined to tie an NBA-best 43 makes from downtown between the two squads in this high-scoring affair. The newly named All-Star starter will look to keep things going on Saturday when his club takes on the smoking-hot Jazz in Salt Lake City.--Gianni Costantiello - RotoBallerSource: ESPN

Out of all the skill positions, tight end is the one where rookies have the most issue making an immediate impact.
