Mason Lohrei Misses Second Consecutive Game Tuesday
Boston Bruins defenseman Mason Lohrei (upper body) will miss a second consecutive game on Tuesday against the Dallas Stars. He took part in the morning skate but isn't yet ready to return from an upper-body injury. Lohrei has appeared in 68 games this season, registering 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists), 68 shots, and 85 blocks. Henri Jokiharju took Lohrei's spot on defense against Columbus on Sunday. The Finnish blue-liner had a fairly uneventful evening against the Blue Jackets, but he has shown some offensive ability with 11 assists in 38 games this campaign.

Max Strus Active on Tuesday
Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Max Strus (foot) is available for Tuesday's matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers. Strus had Monday's game against Utah off for left foot injury maintenance. The 30-year-old forward has been coming off the bench, averaging 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists across six games since recovering from a left foot issue that kept him sidelined for most of the 2025-26 campaign.

Tyler Myers Unavailable Against Bruins
Dallas Stars defenseman Tyler Myers (undisclosed) won't play on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins, Owen Newkirk of DLLS Sports reports. The veteran blue-liner will exit the lineup after making 11 appearances with the Stars since his move from Vancouver. He hasn't scored with 12 SOG but boasts two assists. Additionally, Myers has recorded 15 blocks and hits. Ilya Lyubushkin will fill the void on the blue line. The Russian rearguard plays similarly to Myers and shouldn't be expected to make offensive contributions. Myers' first opportunity to return will come on Thursday when the Stars host the Winnipeg Jets.

Robert MacIntyre Has One Flaw to Overcome at Valero Texas Open to be a Must-Play
Things are looking well for Robert MacIntyre following a solo fourth-place finish at The Players. He's been feasting on either end of the course all season, ranking sixth in strokes gained putting and 11th in strokes gained off the tee. However, TPC Sawgrass was the first time since the year's first event that the Scotsman gained strokes on approach. All of that falls on what happens under 200 yards, as he is very strong with long irons and woods. That creates some volatility for TPC San Antonio's ball-striker-heavy layout. Luckily, the 29-year-old is one of the top players on and around the green, though I can see his woes throughout the rest of his bag could cause issues for some. But if he can excel on a demanding course like TPC Sawgrass, he could certainly do it here.

Michael Bunting to Sit Out Tuesday's Game
Dallas Stars left wing Michael Bunting (lower body) won't suit up on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins, Owen Newkirk of DLLS Sports reports. He suffered a lower-body injury in Sunday's loss to Philadelphia and could miss several games. Dallas' forwards have been dropping like flies lately, leading to Cameron Hughes getting a chance to make his team debut on Tuesday. The 29-year-old hasn't appeared in the NHL since 2020-21. Hughes has been a prolific player in the minors, averaging over a point per game this season, but he will enter the lineup on the fourth line and isn't expected to make a significant impact.

Maverick McNealy In Exceptional Form This Season
Maverick McNealy finished tied for 32nd at the PLAYERS Championship three weeks ago, followed by a tied for 13th finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational the week prior. McNealy will now turn his focus to preparing for this week's Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. McNealy has played well at the Valero Texas Open in the past, finishing tied for third in 2025 and tied for 58th in 2024. Over the past 12 months, McNealy ranks in the 84th percentile in greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. This is important because over 36% of approach shots came from this distance at last year's Valero Texas Open.

Michael Thorbjornsen Playing Well But Still Searching For A Win
Michael Thorbjornsen finished tied for 14th at last week's Texas Children's Houston Open after being one of the favorites to win heading into the tournament. Thorbjornsen has been playing exceptionally well this season, but has had trouble closing out on Sunday. He has four top-25 finishes and two missed cuts in eight starts this season. Thorbjornsen missed the cut at last year's Valero Texas Open. Over the past 12 months, Thorbjornsen ranks in the 39th percentile in greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. This is worth mentioning because over 36% of approach shots came from this distance at last year's Texas Valero Open.

Matsuyama has four top-15 finishes and no missed cuts in seven starts this season. Matsuyama missed the cut at last year's Valero Texas Open but finished tied for seventh in 2024. Over the past 12 months, Matsuyama ranks in the 91st percentile in greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. Sam Merrill Unavailable Against Lakers
Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward Sam Merrill (hamstring) won't play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. Merrill will have the evening for maintenance and should be back in action for Thursday's game against Golden State. Keon Ellis could absorb some of Merrill's available minutes this evening. Ellis collected 13 points, two rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block across 24 minutes in his last outing on Monday against the Jazz.

Willy Adames Back in Leadoff Spot at Petco Park on Tuesday
San Francisco Giants shortstop Willy Adames is back in the leadoff spot for the Gigantes for Tuesday night's game at Petco Park against the San Diego Padres and right-hander German Marquez, according to MLB.com. Adames went 1-for-4 out of the leadoff spot in Monday night's win over the Friars, the Giants' first win of the 2026 season. The 30-year-old Dominican infielder has just two hits in his first 15 plate appearances of the year through four games with no walks and six strikeouts, but he'll be a popular DFS choice atop the batting order against a pitcher that he's fared well against in his career. Adames has a .364 batting average and a 1.567 OPS with three home runs and five RBI against Marquez in 11 career at-bats. Tuesday's game will be just the fourth time that Adames has hit leadoff in his nine-year MLB career. With Adames at leadoff, infielder Luis Arraez will be one of the lightest-hitting cleanup men in the game for the second straight contest.

Nikita Kucherov a Game-Time Decision Tuesday
Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov (illness) is a game-time decision for Tuesday's clash against the Montreal Canadiens. Tampa's star man has missed two games due to illness, but appears ready to return after participating in the morning skate. However, he hasn't been officially cleared to return. Kucherov has been extraordinary in 2026, recording 70 points (22 goals, 48 assists) in 32 games. Edmonton's Connor McDavid has been the second-highest scorer this calendar year with 54 points. Gage Goncalves will have a bigger role if Kucherov suffers a setback and doesn't return on Tuesday night.

Aidan Miller Still Not Swinging a Bat
Philadelphia Phillies top prospect Aidan Miller (back) has yet to swing a bat as he recovers from a lingering back injury, although manager Rob Thomson said on Tuesday that Miller's activities have increased, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com. Miller, who is considered the No. 9 overall shortstop prospect, started the 2026 season on the injured list at Triple-A Lehigh Valley due to a back injury that he's dealt with since last fall. The Phillies aren't going to rush the 21-year-old top prospect, especially after he was unable to play at all during spring training. The former 27th overall pick in 2023 hit .264/.392/.433 with an .825 OPS, 14 home runs, 42 RBI, 82 runs scored, and 59 stolen bases in 116 games with Double-A Reading and Lehigh Valley in 2025. Miller is currently blocked at the big-league level at shortstop by Trea Turner, but the Phillies will find a spot for him, potentially at third or second, when he's ready. At the rate he's going with his back rehab, Miller might not be a candidate to make his MLB debut in Philly until the second half of 2026.

Evgeni Malkin Ready for Action Tuesday
Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin (upper body) is available to return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Detroit Red Wings, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports. The veteran star has missed four games due to an upper-body injury. Malkin should reclaim a top-six spot and work on the first power-play unit. Following a couple of underwhelming campaigns, Malkin has been a point-per-game player in 2025-26, amassing 15 goals and 37 assists in 50 appearances. However, he has gone back-to-back games without a point against the Red Wings.

Jarrett Allen Slated to Suit Up on Tuesday
Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen (knee) is available to suit up against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday. Allen will be back in action after sitting out Monday's game against Utah to rest. In his last outing on Friday versus Miami, the 27-year-old big man was limited to 18 minutes but still collected a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Keon Ellis and Thomas Bryant will likely see their roles reduced with Allen returning to the lineup.

Jarren Duran Resting on Tuesday in Houston
Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran will get a breather in the early going on Tuesday for a matchup at Daikin Park against the Houston Astros, according to MLB.com. With Duran starting on the bench, Masataka Yoshida draws into the lineup as Boston's designated hitter and will bat third against Astros right-hander Hunter Brown. Duran could use a break early on in 2026, as he's gone 2-for-13 (.154) with an RBI, two runs scored, two stolen bases, four walks, and four strikeouts in 18 plate appearances over four games played. He has gone hitless in the last three games after picking up two hits on Opening Day last week. Fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned at all with Duran's slow start just yet. Yoshida is in a nice lineup spot for DFS, but the matchup is a difficult one against one of the best young right-handers in the game. He's also hitless in six career at-bats versus Brown.

Jaylen Wells Has Successful Surgery on Tuesday
On Tuesday, the Memphis Grizzlies announced guard/forward Jaylen Wells (toe) underwent a successful procedure to stabilize his right big toe. The 22-year-old will miss the rest of the season but is expected to be good to go for the start of the 2026-27 campaign. Wells played in 69 contests this season, averaging 12.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.1 blocks, and 0.9 steals while shooting 43.1 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from beyond the arc across 26.4 minutes per game. Kyle Schwarber Taking Ground Balls at First Base
The Philadelphia Phillies have outfielder/designated hitter Kyle Schwarber taking ground balls at first base on Tuesday before their game against the division-rival Washington Nationals at Citizens Bank Park, according to Jeff Kerr of ESPN. Schwarber has only played first base in nine games at the big-league level. He's serving as the designated hitter and is batting out of the two-hole for Tuesday's game versus Nationals left-hander PJ Poulin, while Bryce Harper remains at first base. It's unclear if Schwarber will actually be a realistic option to play the cold corner this year, but it would give the Phillies another option at the position if they want to get Harper off his feet and use him as the DH. We'd be surprised if Schwarber plays enough at first in 2026 to add eligibility for his fantasy managers at the position. The 33-year-old three-time All-Star provides elite power in fantasy after clubbing a league-high 56 homers in 162 regular-season games in 2025. He currently has only two hits (one homer) in his 18 plate appearances in the first four games of the year.

Franz Wagner Trending Toward Return
According to Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel, Orlando Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley said forward Franz Wagner (ankle) is "progressing well." The 24-year-old has participated in physical contact and 5-on-5 work as he ramps up toward a return. Mosley added that the team will monitor Wagner's response to treatment before determining the next steps. Wagner has been sidelined since February 11 due to a high-grade ankle sprain, but he appears to be trending toward a potential return for Wednesday's matchup against Atlanta.

Jorge Polanco Taking a Seat on Tuesday Against Cardinals
New York Mets infielder Jorge Polanco (Achilles), who is dealing with some minor Achilles soreness, is absent from the team's starting lineup on Tuesday at Busch Stadium against the St. Louis Cardinals, according to MLB.com. With Polanco getting a day off to rest -- he's expected to serve in the DH role until he gets over his injury -- Mark Vientos is the DH and will bat sixth against Cardinals right-hander Andre Pallante. Jared Young is starting at first base for the second straight game and will hit fifth for the Mets. Vientos could be a sneaky DFS play on Tuesday, as he's homered in four career at-bats against Pallante. In his first four games with the Mets, Polanco is off to a slow start, going 3-for-15 (.200) with a double, two runs scored, an RBI, five walks, and two strikeouts in 20 plate appearances. The Dominican switch-hitter will be a lineup regular who can provide underrated pop for fantasy managers when he's healthy, but the problem is that he has a history of lower-body injuries, and the fact that he's already dealing with something in the first week isn't a great sign.

Stephen Curry Likely Sidelined for Two More Games
According to Anthony Slater of ESPN, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry (knee) will likely miss two more games. Curry is out for Wednesday's matchup against San Antonio and is listed as doubtful for Thursday's contest versus Cleveland. Head coach Steve Kerr said Curry went through a full practice on Tuesday. The 38-year-old appears to be nearing a return, with a potential target of Sunday's game against Houston. In the meantime, Brandin Podziemski and Gui Santos should continue to handle increased offensive responsibilities, while Pat Spencer and Gary Payton II are also in line for additional playing time.

Jake Fraley Back in Tuesday's Lineup After Shoulder Injury
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Jake Fraley (shoulder) is starting in right field and batting cleanup for the Rays in his return to the lineup on Tuesday versus Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff at American Family Field, according to MLB.com. Fraley is making his return after being scratched from Sunday's series finale. He was also held out of the first game of the series against the Brewers on Monday. It's not a great matchup for Fraley for DFS purposes, but he's in a great lineup spot to drive in some runs for Tampa. In six career at-bats against Woodruff, Fraley is hitting .167 with a .500 OPS in the small sample size. In his first two games with the Rays in 2026, Fraley has gone 1-for-6 with two strikeouts at the plate. There is plenty of competition at the corner-outfield spots in Tampa this year, so the left-handed-hitting Fraley is going to need to produce and stay healthy to keep a strong-side platoon role in right field.

Nick Kurtz Dropped to Third in Lineup Against Lefty
Athletics first baseman Nick Kurtz hit leadoff for the team in the first four games of the 2026 season, but with Atlanta Braves left-hander Jose Suarez on the mound on Tuesday, Kurtz will drop down to third in the batting order, per MLB.com. The power-hitting left-hander looked amazing in his MLB debut with the A's last year, hitting .290/.383/.619 with a 1.002 OPS, 36 home runs, 86 RBI, and 90 runs scored in 489 plate appearances over 117 games played. The former fourth overall pick out of Wake Forest in 2024 is off to a slot start in 2026, though, going 1-for-13 with three runs scored, a stolen base, four walks, and eight strikeouts in four games played. Kurtz really struggled against southpaws in his rookie season, going 27-for-137 (.197) against them with nine of his 36 homers and a .685 OPS. With Kurtz dropping to third in the lineup, shortstop Jacob Wilson will jump up to the leadoff spot against a lefty on Tuesday at Truist Park.

Cody Ponce Diagnosed With ACL Sprain, to Miss "Significant Time"
Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Cody Ponce (knee) has been diagnosed with a right ACL sprain after having to be carted off the field in his 2026 season debut on Monday night against the Colorado Rockies, according to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com. More doctors will review Ponce's MRI results to see if there's a full tear for the final diagnosis. Manager John Schneider said the team is "holding onto" hope that he can pitch again this year, but regardless, he's going to miss "significant time." It's a tough break for the 31-year-old veteran, who was making his first start back in the big leagues on Monday since 2021 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Before leaving with his knee injury, Ponce allowed an earned run while walking one and striking out three in 2 1/3 innings of work. He'll likely be placed on the 15-day injured list in the coming days, adding further stress to an already thinned-out Blue Jays starting rotation early on in 2026. UPDATE: Ponce was officially placed on the 15-day injured list on Tuesday.

Tank Dell Uncertain for OTAs, But Expected to Play in 2026
Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans said it's unclear if wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) will be ready for organized team activities this spring, but he said he knows "he'll be back for us at some point this year," according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Sports. "As I told Tank, it's not a matter of getting back to OTAs just to get back, it's just a matter of getting back in a really good spot physically to where you stay there. That's the main thing," Ryans said. The 26-year-old former third-rounder in 2023 out of Houston didn't play at all in 2025 after suffering a devastating knee injury in 2024, in which he tore multiple ligaments. Before his knee injury, Dell caught 98 of his 156 targets for 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns in 25 games (18 starts) in his first two NFL seasons, including seven touchdowns in 11 games in his rookie campaign. His fantasy stock in dynasty/keeper leagues is on the rise, and he could even be worth a late-round dart throw in single-year leagues later this year if his recovery is coming along nicely this summer. If fully healthy, Dell could be competing for the WR2 role in Houston with second-year wideouts Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, behind Nico Collins.

Odds of Gunnar Henderson Signing Long-Term Extension are "Extremely Low"
The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal said on Foul Territory on Tuesday that the odds of shortstop Gunnar Henderson signing a long-term contract extension with the Baltimore Orioles are likely "extremely low." Henderson is represented by super-agent Scott Boras, which means he's unlikely to agree to an under-market deal for the sake of long-term stability. As Rosenthal notes, Boras prefers to see his clients reach the open market so that they can sell their services to the highest bidder. If the 24-year-old reaches the open market, he'll be one of the top players available in free agency. Henderson was a first-time All-Star in 2024 and had a monster season, slashing .281/.364/.529 with an .893 OPS, 37 home runs, 92 RBI, 118 runs scored, and 21 stolen bases in 719 plate appearances over 159 regular-season games. He came back down to Earth in 2025 with a .274/.349/.438 slash line, 17 homers, 68 RBI, and 30 stolen bases in 154 games, but he's still one of the premier shortstops in the league in his prime. We wouldn't be surprised if Henderson posts his first 30-30 season in 2026 if he stays healthy.

Saints Still Want to Address Alvin Kamara's Contract
The New Orleans Saints still want to address running back Alvin Kamara's (knee) contract, even after restructuring it to lower their 2026 salary cap from north of $18 million to roughly $10.5 million already this offseason, according to Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune. It's unclear what else the Saints will do with Kamara's contract, but most likely, they'll ask him to take a pay cut after finishing the year injured for the second straight season. If Kamara doesn't give in, the Saints could trade or cut him, too, especially after signing an RB with similar skills in free agency in Travis Etienne Jr. on a four-year, $52 million contract. If the Saints address their backfield in the draft as well, the writing could be on the wall for Kamara's departure in the Big Easy. For now, Kamara's future in New Orleans and his 2026 fantasy football value are very murky. Reports this offseason have even suggested that the 30-year-old veteran and five-time Pro Bowler could retire. Kamara was a major disappointment in 2025 in his ninth year in the NFL, playing in a career-low 11 games while rushing for just 471 yards and one touchdown on 131 carries.

Cowboys Have "Long-Term Plans" for George Pickens
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on Tuesday that the team has "long-term plans" for franchise-tagged wide receiver George Pickens, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. Jones added that he has no issues with negotiations on a long-term extension for Pickens going through agent David Mulugheta. The long-time owner also said that if Pickens "worked without an agent, he'd save a lot of money." The Cowboys have made it clear that they want to keep the 25-year-old around long-term after he broke out to the tune of 93 catches (137 targets), 1,429 yards, and nine touchdowns in 17 games in 2025, but Jones and Dallas' front office have a history of taking things down to the wire. Thus, it seems likely that Pickens is destined for a lengthy holdout this offseason that could seep into training camp in the summer as he seeks an extension with the team. At the very least, the former second-rounder will be in Dallas for one more season in 2026, and he'll be a clear WR1 target in fantasy drafts after his big first season with the Cowboys.

Jeferson Quero Sent Back to Triple-A
The Milwaukee Brewers announced on Tuesday that they optioned catching prospect Jeferson Quero back to Triple-A Nashville and selected the contract of outfielder Luis Matos to the active roster in a corresponding move. The Brewers acquired Matos, a former top prospect, from the Giants in a minor trade on Monday. Milwaukee temporarily called up their top catching prospect late last week after first baseman Andrew Vaughn (hand) landed on the 10-day injured list, but Quero only saw two plate appearances, walking and grounding out. Quero is already one of the best defensive catching prospects in baseball, but he'll head back to the farm for more seasoning with the bat after missing extended time in recent seasons due to a shoulder injury in the minors. For now, the Brewers will move forward with starter William Contreras and backup Gary Sanchez at catcher.
