Jimmy Garoppolo Remains in Concussion Protocol
4 days agoLas Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (concussion) had arguably his best game of the season last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Raiders QB passed for 324 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's loss to the Steelers. It was also arguably Garoppolo's worst gameread more...
Kirk Cousins A QB1 In Week 4
4 days agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins will look to keep his solid fantasy production going in Week 4 as the Vikings look for their first win of the season against the Panthers. Through three games, Cousins leads the league in passing yards (1,075) and passing touchdowns (nine) on his way to being the QB2 overall in fantasy. He now faces a Panthers' defense that hasn't allowed much through the air this season, as they have given up the ninth-fewest passing yards through three games. Nonetheless, fantasy managers can continue to treat the veteran as a QB1 option in this one.Source: NFL.com
Nick Westbrook-Ikhine To Play Bigger Role Against Bengals
4 days agoTennessee Titans wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine should start for the Titans in two wide receiver sets against the Cincinnati Bengals in the absence of Treylon Burks (knee). Westbrook-Ikhine has seven receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown in three games thus far. The Titans' passing offense is far from reliable, but there are fantasy managers in ultra-deep leagues that could use him as a desperation flex play. Chris Moore, who has three receptions for 90 yards, should see an uptick in snaps, too. Ultimately, DeAndre Hopkins should be a lock to see double-digit targets, but Westbrook-Ikhine or Moore will likely see the leftovers.Source: ESPN
Christian Kirk A Dependable Flex Option Vs. Falcons
4 days agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk has come on strong as of late and looks to continue his solid play vs. Atlanta this week. The fifth-year player out of Texas A&M has provided fantasy managers two top-30 finishes in a row, after settling in at WR96 Week 1. It's no secret that the Jags offense has looked discombobulated to start the year, but Kirk has been one of the lone bright spots over the past two weeks for quarterback Trevor Lawrence with Zay Jones missing time. The shifty receiver is second on the team in targets and tied for the lead in receiving yards with both Ridley and Evan Engram. With Jones set to miss a second consecutive week (knee), consider Kirk a fine flex option for the matchup with Atlanta in London.Source: ESPN
Justice Hill Questionable For Week 4
4 days agoBaltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill (foot) is listed as questionable to play on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns in Week 4. Hill didn't practice Wednesday, was limited on Thursday, and put in a full practice on Friday, so he figures to have a good shot at returning after missing the Week 3 overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts due to turf toe. Gus Edwards was cleared from his concussion and will play against Cleveland, so even if Hill is able to return, he'll have to share backfield work with Edwards. If he misses a second straight game, Melvin Gordon III will back up Edwards once again. Hill has two touchdowns in 2023, but he's also averaging a weak 2.6 yards per carry.Source: Ravens Twitter
Jameson Williams Eligible To Return In Week 5
4 days agoThe NFL is reinstating Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams on Monday, two weeks before his gambling suspension was set to end, according to sources. It comes as part of the newly agreed to policies related to gambling. Williams will nowread more...
Rashod Bateman, Odell Beckham Jr. Ruled Out
4 days agoBaltimore Ravens wide receivers Rashod Bateman (hamstring) and Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) both missed practice all week and have been officially ruled out for Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns. It will be Beckham's second straight missed game after he injured his ankle in Week 2. Bateman, a former first-rounder, has done very little for fantasy managers through three weeks, catching seven of nine targets for 59 yards. Both OBJ and Bateman have been overshadowed by first-round rookie Zay Flowers, who should see a heavy workload this weekend against a tough Cleveland defense. Behind Flowers and tight end Mark Andrews, both Nelson Agholor and Devin Duvernay will have bigger pass-catching roles this weekend with Bateman and Beckham sidelined.Source: Ravens Twitter
Stefon Diggs Looks To Keep Up Prolific Start In Week 4
4 days agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs is off to a quietly great start in 2023, gobbling up 25-of-32 targets for 279 yards and one touchdown covering three games as he enters Week 4's highly-anticipated divisional duel with the Miami Dolphins. With the Dolphins defense missing superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey (knee), Diggs still has to deal with frequent coverage from multi-time Pro Bowler Xavien Howard. Diggs has fared very well against the Fins during Howard's tenure, though, averaging a healthy nine targets with 5.7 catches for 73.1 yards and four touchdowns in seven games since 2018. Holding only three deep targets on the young campaign, the three-time Pro Bowler may be needed as more of a vertical threat if the Bills hope to keep pace with Miami's humming offense. Diggs is a high-floor, high-ceiling WR1 in a matchup featuring the slate's highest implied point total.Source: RotoBaller
Kadarius Toney Will Play Against Jets
4 days agoKansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney (toe) was limited in practice all week but was removed from the final Week 4 injury report on Friday and will play on Sunday night in New York against the Jets. Toney was also questionable for Week 3 against the Chicago Bears but played in the blowout win, seeing just three percent of the offensive snaps. The 24-year-old pass-catcher is always dealing with some sort of injury and has barely been a part of KC's offense through three weeks, catching seven of his 11 targets for just 35 yards. He's been dropped in a lot of fantasy leagues to open the year. Although he could see his role expand as the season progresses, there's nothing to indicate that is going to happen anytime soon for Toney.Source: Chiefs.com
Josh Allen An Exciting QB1 Versus Dolphins
4 days agoBuffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen didn't need to do much in last Sunday's 37-3 rout of the Washington Commanders, but that's likely to change in Week 4 versus the Miami Dolphins. The 27-year-old aims to pick apart Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio's zone-heavy defense, which may not activate Allen's lacking rushing opportunity thus far. Allen has electrified against the Fins in 10 career games, boasting a 106.1 passer rating and 27:5 TD:INT with 55.4 rushing yards per game. Buffalo hasn't played at a high pace yet this year, but that could change in a hurry if they want to keep up with Miami's furious offense. Allen does rank first in interceptable passes (10), per PlayerProfiler, so he carries plenty of weekly turnover risk. Still, we should feel pretty good about the two-time Pro Bowler as a top-line QB1 in a game with the slate's highest implied point total by far.Source: RotoBaller
Travis Etienne Jr. A Trusted RB1 Vs. Falcons
4 days agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. heads into a Week 4 clash with the Atlanta Falcons. The former first-round pick has been dependable to start the year with two top-10 RB weekly finishes, one of them without even scoring a touchdown. Volume has been king for Etienne, as he has seen an average of 20 opportunities per game through three weeks. Rookie Tank Bigsby is being utilized around the goal line, but Etienne is the dominant workhorse between the 10s commanding a lions' share of the snaps. With the offense struggling mightily last week, Etienne was heavily leaned on to carry the unit. The Atlanta Falcons have been stout against the run in '23, but with how featured Etienne has been this year, he should produce enough to warrant back-end RB1 status yet again.Source: ESPN
Chandler Jones Arrested On Friday
5 days agoLas Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones was arrested on Friday morning in Vegas for two violations of a domestic temporary restraining order. His bail was set to $15,000 and a court date has been set for Dec. 4. Jones had a social-media outburst just before the beginning of the regular season in which he badmouthed the front office and the coaching staff, and he hasn't played through the first three weeks of the season. The 33-year-old was put on the Non-Football Illness list on Sept. 20 and the team remains supportive of him, but this could be the last straw. As of right now, Jones isn't close to getting on the field for the Raiders in 2023.Source: The Athletic - Tashan Reed
Derek Carr Will Be Questionable In Week 4
5 days agoNew Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen said that quarterback Derek Carr (shoulder) will be questionable for Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday. According to NewOrleans.Football's Nick Underhill, Carr has a very real shot at playing after looking sharp while throwing passes at Friday's practice. He led the first-team offense and had good velocity on his throws despite suffering an AC joint sprain in the Week 3 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Underhill writes he didn't see anything to suggest that Carr was limited. The 32-year-old will probably be a game-time decision on Sunday morning and won't be a suggested QB1 streamer if he does end up playing. If the Saints hold him out, veteran Jameis Winston would be making his first start of the year.Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell
Joe Burrow Not On Final Injury Report
5 days agoCincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (calf) is improving from a calf issue that had him questionable to play in Week 3. Burrow was able to practice in full all week and won't enter Sunday's game in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans with an injury designation. The 26-year-old's calf issue is still worth keeping an eye on after he looked extremely limited with his mobility in the Monday night win over the Los Angeles Rams. Burrow and the Bengals offense have gotten off to a slow start in the first three weeks, likely because Burrow missed all of training camp and the preseason due to his calf injury. However, he finally got top wideout Ja'Marr Chase involved on Monday, and his timing and accuracy should only improve the more he plays. Burrow should be considered a low-end QB1 in fantasy against the Titans.Source: Bengals.com
Irv Smith Jr. Won't Play In Week 4
5 days agoCincinnati Bengals tight end Irv Smith Jr. (hamstring) has been ruled out for the Week 4 contest this Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Smith was unable to practice all week and will now be inactive for the second straight game. The oft-injured 25-year-old is off to a bad start in his first year in Cincinnati. In the first two games, he caught just five of his nine targets for 27 yards. Now that he's hurt, Smith belongs on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues for the foreseeable future. The Bengals got all three of Tanner Hudson, Mitchell Wilcox and Drew Sample involved in the Monday night win over the Los Angeles Rams, but none of them are worth streaming at the tight end position in Week 4 with Smith out again.Source: Pro Football Network - Jay Morrison
