2 weeks agoNew Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson (foot) is questionable for Monday's game against Memphis. The 23-year-old continues to deal with a bone contusion in his left foot. He was in the lineup on Friday night in the loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, finishing with a game-high 30 points and adding nine boards, five assists, one steal, and one block. But Williamson didn't suit up on Saturday versus Portland, allowing Trey Murphy III to enter the starting lineup and finish with a team-high 24 points. If Williamson can't go on Monday, Murphy should be starting in all fantasy scoring formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report

2 weeks agoMiami Heat guard Josh Richardson (shoulder) was ruled out during Sunday's meeting with the Boston Celtics. The veteran sharpshooter didn't last long, logging just seven minutes and scoring two points. The Heat were down Jimmy Butler (personal) heading into this one, so Richardson had a chance to benefit. However, he's now dealing with another shoulder injury, which has been an issue this year. Nonetheless, Richardson will likely make an appearance on the injury report heading into Tuesday's game versus Milwaukee. But if he doesn't play, Duncan Robinson should see more action.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Miami Heat
Share:
2 weeks agoMiami Heat guard Terry Rozier (undisclosed) won't return to Sunday's meeting with the Boston Celtics. The former Hornet suffered what appeared to be a right leg injury while going up for a shot late in the third quarter. While there wasn't an officialread more...
Share:
2 weeks agoMiami Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. will start on Sunday afternoon against the Boston Celtics. Jimmy Butler (personal) is away from the team to tend to the death of a family member. As a result, there will be plenty of scoring opportunities up for grabs, most of which should be absorbed by Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Terry Rozier. But Jaquez has averaged 15.6 points, 4.5 boards, and 1.3 steals in 15 starts this season, meaning he'll make a fine streaming option for any fantasy lineup.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Anthony Chiang
Share:
2 weeks agoBoston Celtics guard Jaden Springer (ankle) won't play on Sunday against the Miami Heat. The 21-year-old was moved to the C's from Philly on Thursday. In 32 games with the 76ers this season, he averaged 4.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists. But he's dealing with a sprained ankle, so his next chance to debut for his new squad will be on Tuesday in Brooklyn. However, Springer is not likely to be involved enough to be routinely relevant on the fantasy end, meaning he's best left off rosters in nearly all formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
2 weeks agoMiami Heat forward Jimmy Butler (personal) won't play on Sunday afternoon versus Boston. He was listed as questionable as of Saturday evening. However, the team allowed him time away to deal with the death of a family member. Miami has a back-to-back left on the schedule heading into the All-Star break. While nothing has been confirmed, it's possible Butler won't be back until the February 23 clash with the New Orleans Pelicans. Nonetheless, Jaime Jaquez Jr. could find his way back into the starting lineup against the C's, giving him a higher-than-usual fantasy ceiling. Of course, Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, and Terry Rozier are the favorites to do most of the heavy lifting offensively until Butler is back in the equation.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoPortland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe (abdomen) underwent successful core muscle surgery on Friday. He will be re-evaluated in six weeks. The 20-year-old hasn't played since mid-January. He appeared to be progressing. However, the Trail Blazers will be without him for a while. Sharpe averaged 15.9 points, 5.0 boards, and 2.9 assists in 32 games this season. Unfortunately, he hasn't stayed healthy. That said, until Sharpe is back in the lineup, Malcolm Brogdon and Scoot Henderson should absorb most of his minutes.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
3 weeks agoNew York Knicks forward Bojan Bogdanovic had 11 points in 33 minutes in Saturday's loss to Indiana. He added three boards, one assist, and one steal. The veteran sharpshooter, who was dealt by the Pistons on Thursday, made his first appearance as a Knick. While he struggled shooting the ball, going 3-for-10 from the field and 2-for-6 from downtown, fantasy managers were thrilled to get him back in the lineup. At any rate, it will be tough for Bogdanovic to receive the same amount of work once Julius Randle (shoulder), OG Anunoby (elbow), and Isaiah Hartenstein (Achilles) return. Yet, he'll still have a place in the rotation, keeping him relevant for fantasy managers in most formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
3 weeks agoCharlotte Hornets guard Vasilije Micic debuted for his new team on Saturday versus Memphis. The 30-year-old rookie was traded from OKC on Thursday. He looked fantastic in his first appearance with the Hornets, logging 26 minutes off the bench and finishing just one assist shy of a double-double. Micic, who made a name for himself overseas, averaged only 3.3 points and 2.5 assists in 30 games with the Thunder this season. However, he could have already earned himself a regular spot in the rotation, even when LaMelo Ball (ankle) is ready to return. While Micic has a way to go to prove his value to fantasy managers, he's worth adding in case he stays hot moving forward.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
3 weeks agoIndiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) was cleared to play in Saturday's matchup with the New York Knicks. The All-Star ended the night with a double-double, amassing 22 points and 12 assists. This type of production is what fantasy managers have come to expect from Haliburton this season. However, he missed time with a hamstring issue and hadn't played 30 minutes since before getting sidelined. At any rate, the 23-year-old could continue to make sporadic appearances on the injury report moving forward. But barring a setback, Haliburton should remain active on Monday night against the Charlotte Hornets.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
3 weeks agoNew York Knicks guard Alec Burks debuted with his new team on Saturday versus the Indiana Pacers. The former Piston came off the bench in this one. Although Jalen Brunson was unequivocally the game's top producer, Burks scored 22 points in just 22 minutes. The Knicks moved on from Immanuel Quickley and Quentin Grimes, so a stable ball handler to support Brunson was desperately a need for New York. Without question, there's a spot for Burks in the rotation. However, fantasy managers shouldn't expect this type of production, at least not consistently, moving forward.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
3 weeks agoNew York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) was available for Saturday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers. After the All-Star tweaked his ankle in Tuesday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies, he didn't suit up on Thursday versus the Dallas Mavericks. But he was back in the lineup for the meeting with Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers. While New York couldn't pull off a win, Brunson picked up right where he left off before going down with the ailment, finishing with a game-high 39 points. He struggled from deep, going 1-for-5, although he made all 10 tries from the charity stripe. The 27-year-old continues to get it done for fantasy managers, and he's now averaging 34.3 points in February. Barring any issues with the ankle, Brunson should be in the lineup for Monday's clash with the Houston Rockets.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
Share:
3 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward/center Xavier Tillman Sr. (knee) won't play on Sunday against Miami. The 25-year-old, who was traded from Memphis on Thursday, continues to deal with a knee injury. He'll now miss his sixth straight contest, so it's anyone's guess when he'll be ready to make his C's debut. Tillman has plenty to offer. However, unless he gets a regular role in the rotation, he's not expected to be a consistent contributor for fantasy managers. But with Kristaps Porzingis seemingly always on the injury report, Tillman could gain fantasy appeal at some point down the line.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoMiami Heat forward Jimmy Butler is questionable for Sunday's game against Boston. The veteran is tending to a personal matter, so there's a chance he won't be out there for the matinee versus the Celtics. Fortunately, he's not injured, which has been an issue this year. But if Butler doesn't suit up, Tyler Herro, Terry Rozier, and Bam Adebayo should see a bump in scoring opportunities. Also, Jaime Jaquez Jr., averaging 15.6 points in 15 starts during the 2023-24 campaign, could take Butler's place in the lineup if he's unavailable.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
3 weeks agoAccording to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, guard Kyle Lowry and the Hornets have agreed to a contract buyout. Additionally, the veteran will sign a $2.8 million deal with Philadelphia, his hometown team. Lowry was traded to Charlotte on Thursday after spending the last few seasons in Miami. However, his production has declined since joining the team, and he averaged just 8.2 points this season. The 37-year-old has also battled various ailments over the years, appearing in 58 games or less since the 2019-2020 campaign while still with the Toronto Raptors. Nonetheless, it's doubtful Lowry will do anything meaningful for fantasy managers, even with a change of scenery. But his presence could have a positive impact on the surging Tyrese Maxey, who is anticipated to remain Philly's top offensive contributor while Joel Embiid (knee) recovers from meniscus surgery.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: ESPN
