5 days agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson completed 17 of his 34 attempts for 204 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in the team's loss to the Green Bay Packers. He also ran the ball four times for another 37 yards on the ground. Despite coming off a huge fantasy showing in Week 1, Richardson showed his limitations as a passer and was not able to compensate with his rushing ability in Sunday's matchup. Richardson was able to find WR Alec Pierce in the fourth quarter for a touchdown, which helped boost his fantasy production. Sunday's matchup was an unfortunate mix of low passing volume, limited rushing, and turnovers that kept Richardson from having a strong fantasy outing. He does face a tougher matchup in Week 3 when the Colts host the Chicago Bears, but fantasy managers can still look to him as an upper-echelon QB target and start him with confidence due to his rushing upside.Source: ESPN
5 days agoHouston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud was steady in leading his team to a 19-13 victory against the Chicago Bears in Week 2, completing 23 of his 36 passing attempts for 260 yards and a touchdown pass. The second-year quarterback did not commit a turnover for the second straight week as the Texans improved to 2-0. Stroud's only rushing attempt against Chicago came from taking a knee to end the game, but he did play a leading role in Houston's only touchdown of the day with a 28-yard strike to wide receiver Nico Collins. The former Buckeye will look for a third consecutive win when the Texans visit the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3.Source: ESPN
5 days agoThe Minnesota Vikings' defense enjoyed a productive win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2. The unit finished Sunday's game with five sacks, nine tackles for loss, one interception, and one fumble recovery. They also held a strong Niners offense to just 17 points. All in all, the Vikings have emerged as one of the more appealing fantasy defenses so far. The unit dominated the Giants in Week 1, and now they've had their way against San Francisco. Through just two games, the Minnesota defense has 11 sacks, one fumble recovery, three interceptions, one touchdown, and 15 tackles for loss. They do have a tough matchup on tap against the Texans, but this unit has shown that it can handle big challenges already. Minnesota is a candidate to rank among the top 12 fantasy defenses for the third consecutive week in Week 3.Source: RotoBaller

5 days agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris handled 17 carries for 69 rushing yards and hauled in one of two targets for five receiving yards in a 13-6 victory over the Denver Broncos. Although Harris led Pittsburgh's backfield for the second consecutive week, Jaylen Warren was much more involved on Sunday than in Week 1 and should continue to have a notable role in the offense. Through two games, the Steelers have established an identity as a team looking to run the ball and play shut-down defense, which does bode well for Harris' opportunities going forward. His fantasy value, however, will be limited without more frequent trips to the red zone. Harris will look to score his first touchdown of the season at home against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3.Source: ESPN
5 days agoMinnesota Vikings tight end Johnny Mundt caught two of three targets for just 12 yards during Sunday's win over the San Francisco 49ers. Mundt has been operating as the Vikings' top tight end with T.J. Hockenson (knee) sidelined, but he has left a lot to be desired from a fantasy football perspective. With just four catches and 27 yards through two games, Mundt has lost most of his fantasy relevance and can be left on waivers heading into Week 3 against the Houston Texans.Source: RotoBaller

5 days agoHouston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins finished with a productive eight catches for 135 yards and a touchdown in Houston's 19-13 win against the Chicago Bears. The fourth-year wide receiver found the end zone for the first time this season by rumbling his way through the Chicago secondary for a 28-yard touchdown catch from C.J. Stroud. Later in the first half, he set up a Houston field goal with an excellent one-handed catch along the sideline. The Michigan product was the most targeted Texan for the second consecutive week, drawing 10 looks from Stroud's 36 passing attempts. Collins will look to remain the WR1 in a crowded receiver room as Houston travels to Minnesota to play the Vikings in Week 3.Source: ESPN
5 days agoLas Vegas Raiders rookie tight end Brock Bowers built on his solid Week 1 performance with a standout game against the Ravens, with nine catches for 98 yards (18.8 PPR fantasy points) in Sunday's 26-23 upset win over Baltimore. He leads all tight ends in yardage after Week 2, a testament to his impressive efforts thus far. Raiders QB Gardner Minshew II looked Bowers' way early and often, and he was crucial to converting key third downs. Bowers caught all of his targets, bringing his season total to 15 catches for 156 yards on 17 targets. Minshew and Bowers have already hit their stride, and that should continue in Week 3 when the Raiders face the bottom-tier Carolina Panthers in Week 3.Source: ESPN
5 days agoHouston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs scratched out four catches for 37 yards as the Texans moved to 2-0 with a 19-13 victory against the Chicago Bears. The former Buffalo Bill drew six targets from Houston quarterback C.J. Stroud, which was second on the team compared to 10 for fellow receiver Nico Collins. Both sides struggled to move the ball in the second half, during which the two teams combined for six points. Diggs, who leads the Texans with two touchdown catches through two games, will visit his former team in Week 3 when Houston plays the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.Source: ESPN
5 days agoFor the second straight week, the Denver Broncos offense could get nothing going on the ground in a 13-6 loss to the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers in Denver. Running back Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie combined for 15 carries for 39 yards on the day. Williams had a team-high 11 carries for just 17 yards (1.55 yards per carry), but he salvaged his day by catching all five of his targets for 48 yards through the air. Although Williams has not looked good carrying the ball so far in 2024, his fantasy managers have to be happy with the fact that he out-touched McLaughlin 16 to three in Week 2 after McLaughlin out-touched him in the season opener. The 24-year-old heads into a Week 3 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as Denver's lead back, but with rookie quarterback Bo Nix struggling to move the offense, it's hard to consider Williams as anything more than a low-upside RB3/flex.Source: NFL.com
5 days agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams bounced back in a big way Sunday, converting a team-high 12 targets into nine catches for 110 targets and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-23 upset win over the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens' defense is normally extremely tough, but they had no answer for Adams' elite play. The 31-year-old shook defenders with slick routes, shoved his way through defenders, and found the slimmest of spaces to make catch after catch. He's proven to be a reliable target for QB Gardner Minshew II, and it's likely they built just a bit more chemistry in this game. Adams and Minshew II will look to further cultivate the excellent chemistry they've built up in a Week 3 showdown with the lowly Carolina Panthers.Source: ESPN
5 days agoHouston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell had a quiet night as his team defeated the Chicago Bears, turning four targets into one catch for minus-3 yards and three carries into 16 yards rushing. Dell's best chance at a big play happened in the third quarter when Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud floated a pass over the defense to the second-year receiver with space to run, but the ball went through his hands for an incompletion. There was much to be desired from one of last year's breakout rookies, who is still looking for his first big performance of 2024. Dell will look to rebound from Sunday night's performance in Week 3's matchup versus the Minnesota Vikings.Source: ESPN
5 days agoHouston Texans running back Joe Mixon (ankle) rushed nine times for 25 yards during Sunday's win over the Chicago Bears. He also got involved in the passing attack, hauling in three of his five targets for another 25 yards through the air. He finished Week 2 with 50 scrimmage yards but zero touchdowns. The veteran running back had a solid day, but he likely would have been even more productive if he hadn't missed most of the third quarter due to a back injury. The Texans listed him as questionable and kept him on the sideline for a couple of drives, but he did eventually return in the final minute of the third quarter. Going forward, fantasy managers will want to monitor Mixon's status in case the injury lingers and prevents him from practicing at all during the week. He heads into Week 3 versus the Vikings as a decent RB2 option in fantasy football.Source: RotoBaller
5 days agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields completed 13 of 20 pass attempts for 117 yards and one touchdown in a Week 2 win against the Denver Broncos. He added 27 rushing yards on eight carries. Fields was excellent in the first half where he did nearly all his damage, including a five-yard touchdown pass to tight end Darnell Washington to close Pittsburgh's second drive of the contest. The 25-year-old additionally had a 51-yard completion and a six-yard touchdown pass, both to wide receiver George Pickens, called back due to penalties in the second quarter. It remains to be seen if Russell Wilson (calf) will immediately claim the starting job when healthy, but if Fields gets the nod against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3, he'll remain a QB2 option in superflex formats.Source: ESPN
