Multiple Spins Ruin Tyler Reddick's Promising Start At Watkins Glen
3 months agoTyler Reddick of 23XI Racing placed 27th in Sunday's Go Bowling at the Glen at Watkins Glen International. Starting from the 16th position, Reddick looked like he had a solid performing car right at the beginning of the first stage. The No. 45 Toyota driver made it up to the seventh position and captured a few stage points at the end of the first stage. Reddick pitted during the stage break and received fresh tires from his crew, putting him back in the pack, where he spun on the restart after contact with Daniel Suarez. This spin and a later pit stop before the end of the stage put Reddick in 31st, making him unable to acquire further stage points. In the final stage, Reddick stayed out of trouble before pitting during a Lap 81 caution for debris. This put Reddick in the middle of the pack, ready to make up positions on the final few restarts against drivers with older tires. However, Reddick spun again and received damage before the end of the race. As a result, Reddick was credited with his first finish outside of the top 10 at Watkins Glen and his third finish outside of the top 10 this year since June. With Bristol being the next race, Reddick will look to compete for his first top-10 finish at the site since 2020.
