Justin Fields Tosses Touchdown In Win Over Broncos
3 months agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields completed 13 of 20 pass attempts for 117 yards and one touchdown in a Week 2 win against the Denver Broncos. He added 27 rushing yards on eight carries. Fields was excellent in the first half where he did nearly all his damage, including a five-yard touchdown pass to tight end Darnell Washington to close Pittsburgh's second drive of the contest. The 25-year-old additionally had a 51-yard completion and a six-yard touchdown pass, both to wide receiver George Pickens, called back due to penalties in the second quarter. It remains to be seen if Russell Wilson (calf) will immediately claim the starting job when healthy, but if Fields gets the nod against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3, he'll remain a QB2 option in superflex formats.
