Santiago Ponzinibbio scored a comeback third-round TKO win over Carlston Harris in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 101 on Saturday. In the first round, Harrison dropped Ponzinibbio and Ponzinibbio managed to get back to his feet, but another heavy shot from Harris dropped the Argentinian again just before the round ended. Ponzinibbio managed to recover and in the third round, Ponzinibbio landed an overhand right that stunned Harris. "The Argentine Dagger" kept on the pressure and released a barrage of strikes, forcing the referee to stop the fight. Abdul Razak Alhassan suffered a first-round knockout loss to Cesar Almeida on the main card of UFC Vegas 101 on Saturday. Alhassan dropped Almeida and pursued the finish but was caught with a left hook that rendered Alhassan unconscious. It was only the second time Alhassan had been knocked out of his professional mixed martial arts career. In 4:16 of action, Alhassan landed 17 significant strikes. Cesar Almeida picked up a first-round knockout victory over Abdul Razak Alhassan on the main card of UFC Vegas 101. Midway through the first round Almeida was dropped by a right hand from Alhassan, but he managed to recover. Shortly after, Almeida caught Alhassan with a perfectly placed left hook that knocked Alhassan out cold. In 4:16 of action, Almeida landed 20 significant strikes. Soriano was making his second fight at welterweight and he landed a massive right hook just 31 seconds into the fight that knocked Medic out. Austin Bashi suffered his first career loss on Saturday at UFC Vegas 101 as he dropped a decision to Christian Rodriguez. Bashi was making his UFC debut and entered the bout with a ton of hype. However, he struggled to control Rodriguez on the ground, as the veteran was able to scramble and get the better positions and land the more damaging shots on the ground. Chris Curtis suffered a third-round knockout loss to Roman Kopylov at UFC Vegas 101 on Saturday. Curtis was outstruck in the first round but did have a good second round, outstriking the Russian 58-to-38. With the fight even, Curtis struggled in the third as he was taken down and got hit with some heavy shots. With a second left, Kopylov landed a head kick that dropped Curtis and the ref stopped the fight. With the loss, Curtis is now 31-12 and 1 NC while being 5-4 and 1 NC in the UFC. Roman Kopylov picked up a last-second knockout win over Chris Curtis on the main card of UFC Vegas 101. The Russian outstruck Curtis in the first round but did struggle a bit in the second round. In the third round, Kopylov turned to his wrestling as he attempted four takedowns, but he did land good strikes on the feet. As he had Curtis hurt, he landed a big head kick that dropped Curtis, and the fight was stopped. With the win, Kopylov is now 14-3 as a pro and 6-3 in the UFC.
