Wyatt Langford Idle on Wednesday
Wyatt Langford is getting a breather in Wednesday's contest at Camden Yards against the hosting Baltimore Orioles. Alejandro Osuna will make the start for Texas in left field and will hit out of the nine-hole against Orioles rookie right-hander Brandon Young, who will be making just his third major-league start. Langford went hitless in six at-bats in Tuesday's game against Baltimore and has just one hit in his last 13 at-bats since returning from minor back stiffness that kept him out for a few games over the weekend. Fantasy managers should expect the former first-rounder to be back in the Rangers' starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the division-rival Seattle Mariners after a scheduled day off on Thursday. Osuna isn't a realistic DFS sleeper play, even against a rookie pitcher with limited experience.Source: MLB.com
Texas Rangers outfielder Jordan Westburg Returning to Orioles Lineup
Jordan Westburg (finger) is back at third base and is hitting out of the two-hole for Wednesday's contest in Baltimore against the visiting Texas Rangers and right-hander Jacob deGrom at Camden Yards. Westburg will be returning to the lineup for the first time since spraining his left index finger while sliding last Saturday. The 26-year-old has missed a lot of time this year due to injury and is hitting just .229 (30-for-131) on the year with seven home runs, 14 RBI, 20 runs scored and a stolen base. Westburg isn't going to be a very popular DFS play against deGrom despite being in a cushy lineup spot in the two-hole. Since returning from the injured list on June 10, Westburg has gone 10-for-39 (.256) with three home runs, two doubles, eight RBI, a steal and eight runs scored in 11 games played.Source: MLB.com
Baltimore Orioles infielder Alex Bregman Unlikely to Return Before All-Star Break
Alex Bregman (quadriceps) won't be back until after the mid-July All-Star break, according to manager Alex Cora. There was some hope that Bregman would be back to close out the first half of the 2025 season, but the Red Sox aren't going to push the 31-year-old veteran, and hopefully he'll be all systems go on July 18. Bregman has been out a month with a strained right quadriceps muscle and will likely require at least a short minor-league rehab assignment before he rejoins the big-league roster as the starting third baseman. When the two-time All-Star does return, expect rookie infielder Marcelo Mayer to move over to the keystone regularly. Bregman has leaned more into his power in his first year in Beantown and was hitting a strong .299/.385/.553 with a .938 OPS and 11 homers in 197 at-bats before his injury. Keep him stashed in all fantasy leagues.Source: The Boston Globe - Tim Healey
It "looks like" Boston Red Sox third baseman Kutter Crawford to Have Wrist Surgery, "Most Likely" Done for the Year
Kutter Crawford (wrist) will undergo surgery on his right wrist, according to manager Alex Cora, and he is "most likely" to miss the rest of the season. Crawford will end up missing the entire 2025 campaign after initially beginning the regular season on the injured list with a right-knee injury that he began dealing with in the offseason. Once the 29-year-old goes under the knife, the BoSox should have a better idea of how long he'll be out before he's able to resume a throwing progression. The former 16th-round selection in 2017 out of Florida Gulf Coast University made a career-high 33 starts last year and went 9-16 with a 4.36 ERA (4.65 FIP) and 1.12 WHIP with 175 strikeouts, 51 walks and a league-high 34 home runs allowed in 183 2/3 innings. If he's healthy by spring training next year, Crawford should compete for a rotation spot in Boston.Source: The Boston Globe - Tim Healey

Noble Meyer Placed on Seven-Day Injured List
Noble Meyer (undisclosed) has been placed on the High-A Beloit seven-day injured list, retroactive to June 23. The nature of the injury is not yet known, so there is no projection for when he'll return. The Marlins' fourth-ranked prospect is having a tough year for the Sky Carp, registering a 5.09 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and 15.0 percent K-BB% in 11 starts, although he's been better over his last six starts, posting a 3.52 ERA (2.93 FIP), a 1.09 WHIP, and a 21.4 percent K-BB% in 23 innings pitched. MLB.com's top prospect list gives an ETA of 2026 for the 2023 first-rounder's major-league debut, however, that timeline looks optimistic, especially if this injury causes him to miss significant time. He's still only 20 years old, and the 6-foot-5 hurler has time to develop, regardless of what the injury turns out to be.Source: Fish on the Farm
Miami Marlins pitching prospect Josue De Paula Continues to Impress at High-A
Josue De Paula went 2-for-5 on Tuesday for High-A Great Lakes, including a double, two runs scored, and a stolen base. The Dodgers' second-ranked prospect is having a great season for the Loons, slashing .278/.423/.466. He leads the Midwest League in walks (58) and runs scored (51), and is top five in home runs (10), OBP (.423), and OPS (.889). The 20-year-old has also stolen 23 bases in 67 games. With a tantalizing all-around skill set, dynasty managers should continue to eye his progress, and a promotion to Double-A can't be far off.Source: MiLB.com
Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect Brandon Young Called Up to Start on Wednesday
Brandon Young from Triple-A Norfolk and optioned right-hander Yaramil Hiraldo to Norfolk in a corresponding move. Young, the team's No. 19 prospect per MLB Pipeline, will make his third MLB start and toe the rubber against the visiting Texas Rangers on Wednesday at Camden Yards. The 26-year-old didn't fare so well in his first two major-league starts earlier this year, allowing six earned runs on 11 hits (one homer) while walking eight and striking out nine in 8 2/3 innings against the Reds and Tigers. On top of it, Young recently returned from a shoulder issue at Norfolk and only threw 65 pitches in his last outing with the Tides. The matchup against the offensively-challenged Rangers is a great one, but Young is still very risky as a fantasy streamer in deep leagues.Source: Baltimore Orioles

Jefferson Rojas Fills Up the Stat Sheet on Tuesday
Jefferson Rojas went 2-for-5 with two singles, two RBI, a run scored, and a pair of stolen bases on Tuesday for High-A South Bend. The Cubs' fourth-ranked prospect has been hitting well all season, now batting .284 with 10 doubles, four triples, and five home runs along with 11 steals in 51 games. A 13.7 percent walk rate has helped him to a .388 OBP, and he's striking out at a better-than-average rate of 16.7 percent. Now with 147 games at High-A under his belt between 2024 and 2025, a move to Double-A shouldn't be far off, and he continues to stay on track to potentially make an MLB debut sometime next year.Source: MiLB.com
Chicago Cubs infield prospect Ryan Bergert Placed on 15-Day Injured List With Forearm Contusion
Ryan Bergert (forearm) on the 15-day injured list with a right-forearm contusion and recalled right-hander Sean Reynolds from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move. Bergert will now miss at least the next several weeks after he was hit by a comebacker in his start in Tuesday's win over the Washington Nationals. The 25-year-old's X-rays came back negative, though, so he should be able to return from the IL when he's eligible. The club's No. 21 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, could be needed in the rotation when he's ready to return, too, if Yu Darvish (elbow) is still on the IL. Bergert was pitching in relief in the minors before his first big-league call-up, but he's pitched well for the Friars in nine appearances (five starts), posting a 2.67 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 23 K's and 12 walks in 27 innings.Source: San Diego Padres
The San Diego Padres announced on Wednesday that they placed rookie right-hander Sebastian Walcott Swipes Three Bags on Tuesday
Sebastian Walcott went 2-for-4 on Tuesday and stole three bases for Double-A Frisco. The Rangers' top-ranked prospect (MLB No. 9) started June in an 0-for-11 slump, but is 17-for-60 (.283) in the 16 games since then, although it has come with a .050 ISO. In fact, it has been 21 games since his last home run. Despite the power outage, the 19-year-old has been getting on base via the walk, recording 15 walks compared to only 18 strikeouts during that 21-game stretch. For the season, the young Bahamian is slashing .248/.347/.406 with eight home runs and 15 steals. If he picks it up at the plate, some at-bats at Triple-A later in the year are likely, and a debut in 2026 will put him on the redraft radar.Source: MiLB.com
Texas Rangers infield prospect Xander Bogaerts Scratched With Shoulder Soreness
Xander Bogaerts (shoulder) has been scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the visiting Washington Nationals at Petco Park with left-shoulder soreness, according to 97.3 The Fan's Sammy Levitt. Jose Iglesias will now slide over to shortstop and bat sixth, with Tyler Wade playing second base and hitting eighth against Nationals left-hander MacKenzie Gore. Jake Cronenworth is getting the day off. The 32-year-old Bogaerts fractured the same shoulder last year, but for now fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day. With an off day coming on Thursday, he could be back in action for Friday's series opener in Cincinnati against the Reds. Bogaerts continues to fall off offensively in his third year in SD, hitting .246/.324/.344 with only four homers in 78 games, but he does have 13 stolen bases, already matching his total from a year ago.Source: 97.3 The Fan - Sammy Levitt
San Diego Padres shortstop Starlyn Caba Activated Off 60-Day Injured List
Starlyn Caba (thumb) has been activated from the 60-day injured list. The Marlins' second-ranked prospect (MLB No. 62) had been out of action since mid-April with a sprained thumb. The 19-year-old did not complete a rehab assignment, rather, he started right back up with Single-A Jupiter on Tuesday. The switch-hitting Dominican got off to a slow start in 2025, going 7-for-38 (.184) with zero extra-base hits, however, he's walked 15 times compared to just eight strikeouts, and has stolen six bases through 12 games played. Known for his defensive skills, the youngster will need to pick it up at the plate, as even though he posted a 13.9 percent walk rate and stole 13 bases at Single-A in 2024, he hit just .179 there in 26 games. His defense, ability to get on base, and his speed on the basepaths are what will get him to the big leagues, but that is still a few years away.Source: Fish on the Farm
Miami Marlins infield prospect Logan O'Hoppe Resting Against Boston
Logan O'Hoppe will retreat to the bench for Wednesday's series finale at Angel Stadium against the visiting Boston Red Sox. Travis d'Arnaud will do the catching for left-hander Yusei Kikuchi and will hit sixth versus Red Sox right-hander Richard Fitts. O'Hoppe gets the day off in a matinee game after catching 10 innings in the extra-inning victory on Tuesday night. The 25-year-old backstop is in the midst of a modest three-game hitting streak but has batted just .140 (8-for-57) with three home runs, a double, seven RBI, five runs scored and 17 strikeouts in 59 trips to the plate over 15 games in the month of June. O'Hoppe is still one of the elite fantasy catchers and already has 17 long balls in 231 at-bats in 2025. d'Arnaud will be a DFS sleeper against Fitts. He's hitting just .207 (24-for-116) with three homers and 10 RBI on the year.Source: MLB.com
