The Green Bay Packers named Joe Barry as their new defensive coordinator on Monday and promoted Maurice Drayton to special teams coordinator. Barry has been an NFL assistant for 19 seasons and served as the assistant head coach/linebackers coach for the Los Angeles Rams from 2017-20. The Rams ranked second in the league in that span in sacks (192), tied for second in takeaways (104) and interceptions (63), seventh in overall defense (329.9 yards per game) and ninth in scoring defense (21.5 points per game). LA led the league in scoring defense and overall defense last year, so the Packers should be in capable hands. Green Bay was tied for 10th in sacks (41), tied for 21st in fumble recoveries (seven), tied for 17th in interceptions (11), eighth in passing yards (237.1 yards per game) and 14th in rushing yards (112.9 yards per game).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
