Pablo Sandoval Re-Signs With Giants
5 years agoThe San Francisco Giants re-signed third baseman Pablo Sandoval to a one-year deal on Wednesday. He can make $2 million if he makes the major league roster, plus another $750,000 in incentives. Sandoval had Tommy John surgery last year, but he's expected to make the team if he's healthy. That's no guarantee for a 33-year-old that has had conditioning issues almost his entire career, but the Panda did hit well in his 272 at-bats with San Francisco in 2019, slashing .268/.313/.507 with 14 home runs and 41 RBI. Coming off injury, however, fantasy owners shouldn't expect much from Sandoval in 2020 in what could be a part-time role.
