The San Diego Padres selected Notre Dame Catholic outfielder Owen Caissie with the 45th overall pick in the second round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. Caissie, hailing from Canada, was recruited by Michigan and has the tools to fit in right field with his plus raw power with the lumber. There is real pop from his left-handed bat, with the ability to drive the ball all over the yard. Caissie can get up to the low-90s on his throws from the outfield, so he obviously has a plus arm in the outfield.
