Tampa Bay Lightning left wing Ondrej Palat scored a goal and registered two assists in a 5-2 victory over the Devils. The Devils had no answer for Tampa Bay’s second line as Palat, Tyler Johnson, and Brayden Point each had at least one point in the first period of game 1. Palat in particular shined, as both of his assists were primary assists, with the second one coming on the power play. His three points led the Lightning on Saturday night, and was the seventh multi-point game of the season for Palat. Much has been made of the Devil’s lack of depth behind their top line with Taylor Hall, and that held true in game 1, as four of Tampa Bay’s goals came from outside of their top line. After scoring only 35 points in the regular season, Palat should come at a value in daily fantasy formats as he looks to continue exploiting New Jersey’s depth.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
