New Jersey Devils left-winger Nikita Gusev recorded his first career NHL goal as his team came up short to the Winnipeg Jets by the score of 5-4 on Friday. Making his debut on the Devils' third line with fellow rookie Jack Hughes, the 27-year-old Russian looked comfortable throughout the contest - also registering four shots on goal in 12:59 of ice time. Scoring is nothing new for the former KHL phenomenon as he is making his transition to the NHL after three consecutive seasons of posting over a point-per-game for SKA St. Petersburg (215 points in 173 games). Gusev is an intriguing fantasy option (just 37% owned in Yahoo! leagues) and possesses a high ceiling that he could reach with the right deployment and usage in New Jersey. He'll look to find the scoresheet again in Buffalo on Saturday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
