4 years agoChicago Cubs second baseman Nico Hoerner is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Kansas City Royals. Jason Kipnis is getting the start at second base and hitting eighth in Hoerner's place. It should be nothing more than a routine day off for Hoerner, though it's a bit frustrating that it's Hoerner's second day off over the team's past five games. On the year, Hoerner is slashing .269/.333/.308 with five RBI and six runs. He should be left on waivers in most leagues at this point.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
