Nico Collins Not Dealing With Season-Ending Injury
2 years agoHouston Texans head coach Lovie Smith said that wide receiver Nico Collins (groin) isn't dealing with a season-ending injury. "I don't know. He didn't practice today. He's not out for the season. Hopefully, we'll get him back sooner," Smith said. While it's positive news that Collins' injury isn't long-term, Smith also didn't give any kind of timeline for when we can expect Collins to return to action. The 23-year-old wasn't able to practice on Wednesday, so it wouldn't be a surprise at all to see him miss the Week 8 game against the Tennessee Titans. If Collins is inactive on Sunday, Brandin Cooks, Phillip Dorsett and Chris Moore would all see more usage in the passing game. Collins is still looking for his first touchdown of the year while catching 18 of 30 targets for 305 yards in six games.
