Nick Williams Drives Three In Victory

With starting pitcher Zach Eflin shutting down the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Tuesday night, the Philadelphia Phillies offense went to work, scoring six runs to pick up a much-needed victory. The biggest contributor was Nick Williams, now seeing every day starting time in the absence of the injured Rhys Hoskins. Williams managed just one hit, but it was a two-run home run in the second inning that opened the scoring. An inning later he would drive in another, this time on a fielder’s choice. His three RBI on the day were his most in a game this season and as much as he drove in during the entire month of April.
