Nick Williams Drives Three In Victory
7 years agoWith starting pitcher Zach Eflin shutting down the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on Tuesday night, the Philadelphia Phillies offense went to work, scoring six runs to pick up a much-needed victory. The biggest contributor was Nick Williams, now seeing every day starting time in the absence of the injured Rhys Hoskins. Williams managed just one hit, but it was a two-run home run in the second inning that opened the scoring. An inning later he would drive in another, this time on a fielder’s choice. His three RBI on the day were his most in a game this season and as much as he drove in during the entire month of April.
