3 years agoThe NFL Players Association has determined that wide receiver Josh Gordon has successfully completed his NFL-monitored treatment program and has recommended to the league that he be reinstated, according to sources. Gordon is still awaiting final approval from commissioner Roger Goodell, but he is said to be ready to play and is vaccinated. This doesn't mean that Gordon is back in the NFL, but that could be coming soon. The 30-year-old last played in 2019 with the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, catching 27 passes for 426 yards and a touchdown in 11 games (seven starts). Substance-abuse issues have wrecked what could have been a very promising career. Gordon broke out in 2013 with the Cleveland Browns, but given the long layoff, nobody should be expecting him to return to that level in 2021 if he latches on with a team.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
