NFL owners approved the 17-game regular season on Tuesday. The preseason schedule will be reduced from four games to three. Before the move became official on Tuesday, several prominent NFL players voiced their displeasure with the league likely adding an additional game to the regular season. The league has gone with a 16-game regular season since 1978, by far the longest stretch without a change in NFL history. Player health is the biggest concern with an added game, and changes are expected with the offseason and in-season workout schedules for players as a result. Many teams in playoff contention already rest their starters in Week 16, so an additional game will likely mean even more uncertainty in terms of fantasy lineups. However, most fantasy formats have their championships decided well before the final regular season game, so it shouldn't be a major factor for fantasy leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
