Nathan Eovaldi Has Solid Line Thursday
4 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi allowed just one hit while walking one and fanning four in four scoreless innings during an intrasquad game on Thursday. He threw 34 of his 58 pitches for strikes and hit one batter in the tune-up for the regular season. The hard-throwing right-hander also looked impressive last weekend during a simulated game in summer camp. He should be the team's Opening Day starter on July 24 with Chris Sale (elbow) out for the entire season and Eduardo Rodriguez still away from the team after testing positive for COVID-19. The 30-year-old is worth grabbing to round out your pitching depth in deep mixed leagues for his strikeout upside.
