Moises Ballesteros Not Slowing Down At Triple-A
Moises Ballesteros has continued to swing a hot bat at Triple-A and is making a strong case for an early-season MLB debut. The 21-year-old saw his incredible 19-game hitting streak come to an end on May 4 when he went 0-for-3 with a walk. During his impressive hitting streak, the backstop posted a .447/.500/.671 slash line with five doubles and four long balls. He only struck out four times over this 21-game stretch. Through his first 28 games of the Triple-A regular season, the No.4-ranked prospect in the Cubs system has held a stellar .381/.437/.566 slash line with seven doubles, four home runs, and a 13:11 K:BB. Even though the Cubs do not have a clear spot for him on the MLB roster, with Carson Kelly swinging a hot bat behind the dish and Seiya Suzuki serving as the everyday DH, fantasy managers in deeper formats should consider stashing him as he could receive the call in the coming weeks.
