Mohamed Sanu Sr. 2020 Outlook: Will He Be Healthy?
5 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Mohamed Sanu Sr. has struggled with injuries and absences over the last few years, with his latest ailment, a high-ankle sprain, requiring surgery back in the beginning of March. Sanu was one of the most promising wideouts in the league and had relatively successful stints in both Cincinnati and Atlanta before ultimately landing in New England in the middle of 2019. There are a lot of question marks regarding his availability for the 2020 season after missing eight games last year, in addition to who will be throwing him passes when he is finally healthy and back on the field. Tom Brady is gone after a historic run with the organization, making Jarrett Stidham, a 23-year-old with barely any experience, the likely candidate to be the No. 1 signal-caller for the club. While Sanu has an obvious upside, it isn't as high as it used to be for a lot of reasons, making him less than desirable--at least for now--in all formats, regardless of league size.
