Mitch Moreland Suffers Setback On Rehab Assignment
5 years agoBoston Red Sox first baseman Mitch Moreland (quadriceps) is still out of the lineup for Triple-A Pawtucket on Sunday. The team was hoping he would be able to resume his rehab assignment after feeling more quadriceps tightness on Friday. He'll need to get more at-bats before the Red Sox will activate him from the injured list. Moreland is hitting just .225 in 47 games this year, but his 13 home runs have been useful to those in deeper mixed and AL-only leagues when he's on the field against right-handed pitching. Until he returns, though, he can be left on the waiver wire in most mixed leagues. Michael Chavis has mostly been filling in at first with Steve Pearce also hurt.
