Mitch Haniger's Rehab Moving Slowly
5 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger's (back) rehab process continues to move along slowly, as he's limited to walking for about another week before he can move to the next phase of his rehab. Haniger had microdiscectomy three weeks ago for a herniated disc, and he also had surgery in February to fix a torn adductor muscle in his groin. He's been out the last nine months with no timetable for a return, but he's optimistic he's on the road to recovery. There's no telling when the 29-year-old will make his season debut for the M's, which will leave him on most waiver wires in mixed leagues to start the 2020 season. His absence will mean more playing time for Jake Fraley, Braden Bishop and Kyle Lewis.
