Mitch Garver A Couple Of Weeks Away From Ramping Up Activity
4 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver (groin) is still a couple of weeks away from starting to get active. Garver is still dealing with some swelling, though he is doing better, per manager Rocco Baldelli. The veteran backstop was placed on the 10-day injured list after surgery to repair a groin contusion and will likely be sidelined through June, judging by Baldelli's statements. That should mean more playing time for Ryan Jeffers. The 23-year-old Jeffers is batting .313 with two homers, a triple, and four RBI since being recalled from Triple-A St. Paul.
