St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Miles Mikolas couldn't make it out of the fifth inning on Wednesday. He ended up pitching 4 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two. Mikolas threw 85 pitches before being pulled in favor of Brett Cecil, who was able to strand the two runners Mikolas left on base. One more out would have left Mikolas in line for the win, but instead he'll settle for a no-decision. Mikolas was hit in the leg by a line drive earlier in the game but seemed fine afterwards and pitched a few innings after being hit. His ERA sits at 2.63 and he'll hope for a longer outing his next time on the mound.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
