Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy experienced abdominal pain Wednesday morning that warranted further evaluation and resulted in a diagnosis of acute appendicitis. McCarthy is scheduled for surgery Wednesday afternoon, is expected to be released from the hospital later on Wednesday and is anticipating coaching on Sunday night against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles. Dallas' three coordinators will run the team's practice on Wednesday and until McCarthy returns. It's a bad week for the Cowboys to be without their head coach for any amount of time, but McCarthy's medical condition is unlikely to affect the Cowboys' on-field product this week in a game with a lot riding on it.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
