Mike Clevinger Pitches Six Scoreless Frames On Wednesday
Mike Clevinger had both his best and longest outing of the year in Wednesday's start against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He pitched six scoreless innings and allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out six. He earned the win to improve to 2-0 on the year. The right-hander had only reached the end of the fifth inning once across his first six starts of the year, so it was particularly encouraging to see him deliver his first quality start of the season on Wednesday. He'll take a 2.79 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP into his next start against the Seattle Mariners next Tuesday.
