Miguel Andujar To Make Season Debut Friday
Miguel Andujar is set to make his 2021 debut on Friday night against the Nationals. Andujar was called up from Triple-A Scranton ahead of the contest and will start at first base and bat eighth against Nationals' lefty Patrick Corbin. The 26-year-old has been plagued by injuries as well as inconsistent playing time since his breakout rookie campaign in 2018- though he is heading up to the majors at a good time, having compiled a .462 batting average with a trio of home runs in three games with the RailRiders. The matchup against Corbin is enticing, as the southpaw ranks in the 10th-percentile or worse in expected batting average, slugging percentage, and ERA.
