Michael Conforto To Be A Focus Of Spring Extension Talks
Michael Conforto, along with shortstop Francisco Lindor and pitcher Noah Syndergaard, will be the focus of extension talks this spring. Conforto is due to become a free agent after the 2021 season. As a result, the Mets are looking to get the home-grown, consistent slugger locked into a multi-year contract. With a great surrounding cast, Conforto can potentially provide managers with 30 home runs, and 90-100 RBI, to go with a .270 batting average in 2021. The Mets would be wise to lock Conforto into a long-term deal in advance of a potentially dominant 2021 campaign.
