3 months agoThe New York Mets are still fielding calls from nine teams on starting pitcher Zack Wheeler as the trade deadline approaches on Wednesday. If their price is met, the right-hander will be traded, and there remains a decent chance of that happening. The Astros are one of the teams considering Wheeler, according to MLB Network's Jon Paul Morosi. Wheeler missed around three weeks of action due to shoulder fatigue but returned last Friday and allowed three runs in 5 1/3 innings while striking out seven against the Pirates. He's been up and down this year with a 4.71 ERA, but he's also fanned at least seven batters in each of his last four starts. Wheeler would be more attractive from a fantasy perspective if he were to land in Houston. Stay tuned.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
