Mets Likely To Start Robert Stock On Tuesday
3 years agoThe New York Mets are leaning toward using right-hander Robert Stock for the game on Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds. Stock only threw one inning at Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday. The 31-year-old was recently claimed off waivers from the Chicago Cubs and allowed two runs in four innings in a spot start against the Milwaukee Brewers earlier this month. In his one start for Chicago this year against the Mets, Stock allowed five earned runs while walking six and striking out three in four innings. His two starts this season are his only major league starts in his four seasons, so Stock will obviously be one to avoid against a strong Reds lineup if he gets the nod.
