3 years agoThe New York Mets are among multiple teams with interest in Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant. The Cubs traded outfielder Joc Pederson to the Atlanta Braves on Thursday night and probably aren't done selling as we get closer to the trade deadline. Bryant, who is eligible for free agency after the 2021 season, is one of the bigger names this year expected to be traded. The Mets would seem to be an odd fit on paper, since they already have Jonathan Villar and J.D. Davis (finger), who is set to return from the injured list on Friday, as options at the hot corner, but Bryant's versatility will make him attractive to a lot of clubs. The 29-year-old has been quietly productive with a .271/.353/.502 slash line, 16 home runs, 50 runs scored, 46 RBI and four stolen bases this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
