New York Mets general manager Jared Porter was fired on Tuesday morning after ESPN reported details that he sent unsolicited texts and inappropriate photos to a female reporter in 2016. Mets owner Steve Cohen announced the termination on Twitter. Porter's tenure as GM lasted just 37 days. The Mets will now look to fill the position in advance of spring training. Given the fact that the Mets just concluded a GM search last month, they should be able to move quickly to fill the vacancy with, perhaps, one of the other candidates they recently vetted. Notably, former Cubs and Red Sox GM Theo Epstein could also be a potential candidate for this go-around.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBallerRead More News
