Mets Being Cautious With Robinson Cano
6 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano (quadriceps) is being brought along slowly during his rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse. He played five innings on Tuesday and will hit the nine-inning mark soon. The 36-year-old was 3-for-3 with two doubles on Tuesday and is expected to remain with Syracuse into the weekend. He'll need to be as close to full strength for the Mets to activate him. The eight-time All-Star is hitting just .238 with three home runs and 14 RBI on the year and has been a big disappointment for fantasy owners that thought he'd bounce back in his first year in New York. Those in mixed leagues will want to see better results before picking him back up.
