The New York Mets agreement with first-round right-hander Kumar Rocker (elbow) is now in limbo after the team showed concerns with Rocker's right elbow during his physical exam, according to multiple industry sources. However, Rocker's camp disagrees with the concerns, citing his durability in college at Vanderbilt. The 10th overall pick of the draft agreed to a $6 million signing bonus on draft day. The two sides could sign off on a smaller figure, part ways altogether or move forward with the original deal. If an agreement isn't made by this Sunday, Rocker could return to Vanderbilt for another year. Unless the rules change, the Mets would receive a "makeup pick" next year behind the 10th-worst team if an agreement isn't reached. The 21-year-old made 39 starts in college and features a power slider that gives hitters fits.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
