Max Kepler Pulled For Precautionary Reasons
2 years agoUpdating a previous report, Minnesota Twins outfielder Max Kepler (leg) was pulled from Thursday's game early against the San Diego Padres as a precaution, and manager Rocco Baldelli said the team is hopeful it's just a leg cramp. Kepler probably won't start on Friday because the Twins are facing a left-handed pitcher, but he could be available off the bench. It's a day-to-day situation for now, and it sounds as though the 30-year-old left-handed hitter won't need to go on the injured list. He suffered the leg cramp while running to first base in the seventh inning and was replaced by Michael A. Taylor after going 0-for-4 with an RBI. Kepler is really only an option in fantasy in deep-mixed leagues against right-handed hurlers.
