Matthew Poitras Out For Season After Surgery
10 months agoBoston Bruins forward Matthew Poitras underwent shoulder surgery on Wednesday and will miss the rest of the 2023-24 campaign. The 19-year-old completes the year with 15 points (five goals, 10 assists) in 33 games. Poitras had his best spell early in the season when he was a top-six regular. He's shown very good potential, and general manager Don Sweeney has called Poitras a "key part" of Boston's future. The young forward is expected to recover in five months, meaning he should be fully ready for the start of 2024-25.
