According to Ethan Sears of the New York Post, New York Islanders right wing Matthew Barzal (undisclosed) suffered an injury during the final period of their victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Sears noted that the team did not provide an update on Barzal after the game. Before exiting, Barzal tallied an assist, two shots, and two blocks. The forward appeared to have suffered this injury when blocked on these shots. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their game on Sunday evening against the Florida Panthers. Over his previous 10 contests, Barzal has found the back of the net three times and added six helpers. If Barzal were to miss time, fantasy managers should expect Anthony Duclair (illness) or Matt Martin to rejoin the starting lineup.--Andy SmithRead More News
