Matt Harvey Fails To Survive Fifth Inning
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels starter Matt Harvey allowed five runs on five hits in only 4 2/3 innings as the Angels fell to the Astros 10-4 on Sunday. Harvey was working on a quality outing but it all fell apart in the fifth inning and was pulled with the bases loaded. The Astros Alex Bregman subsequently smacked a grand slam and each of the inherited runners was charged to Harvey. The veteran's ERA now has ballooned to 6.94 and has allowed six home runs in only 36 1/3 innings pitched this season. Harvey is not fantasy viable right now and his status in the Angels rotation could be reconsidered if he continues to struggle.
