Marvin Bagley III Heading To Washington
11 months agoAccording to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Wizards acquired forward/center Marvin Bagley III, Isaiah Livers, and two second-round picks from Detroit. In exchange, the Pistons received Danilo Gallinari and Mike Muscala. The focal point of the deal centers around Bagley, the No. 2 overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft. He spent just over three seasons in Sacramento to begin his career. Unfortunately, he wasn't a constant performer and was moved to Detroit during the 2021-22 campaign. Since then, his situation hasn't changed, considering he's had a tough time finding a routine spot in the rotation. But Bagley has potential, averaging 14.0 points and 5.6 rebounds in 10 starts with the Pistons this season. If he can get consistent minutes with the Wizards, the 24-year-old will see an uptick in fantasy interest. Still, his shooting percentages need work, so fantasy managers with room to spare shouldn't label him as anything more than a speculative roster addition.
