Martin Truex Jr. had the car to do very well and once again, he proved his favorite status was not a fluke. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver led 80 laps including the most important one, en route to victory on Saturday night at Richmond. The closest driver to him was Denny Hamlin who still was over a second back. Christopher Bell was more than half a lap away. It was a dominating when it counts kind of performance for Truex Jr. He pulled this off despite a stop and go penalty at the beginning of the race. Passing Denny Hamlin before the start/finish line was not good. However, the win means Truex Jr. does not have to worry about advancing to the Round of 12 next week. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
