8/11:Tampa Bay Rays catcher Michael Perez opened the scoring for the game Friday versus the Blue Jays. He would hit a two-run HR that put the Rays up 2-0 on their way to a 7-0 victory. He would also score another run later in the game. He seems to have become the Rays main catcher since his arrival with the team back in late July. Perez's job security was greatly aided when the team traded away their previous planned starter to the Phillies. He is a young player who has seemed to show some offensive potential in his first 10 career games. He is currently more of a deep league or AL-only option.--Jamie Mellor - RotoBaller
