Mark Trumbo Shut Down A Couple Weeks
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Mark Trumbo (knee) will be shut down for a couple of weeks after suffering a setback in his surgically-repaired knee this week. He is staying optimistic that he will play this year, but an arthritic condition in his knee is also a problem. The 33-year-old has yet to play in the big leagues in 2019 and there is no timetable for his return. Trumbo hit a career-high 47 homers in 2016 and another 23 in 2017, but his knee injury has made him a forgotten man in the fantasy community. There's no reason to have him on your roster in mixed leagues until he proves his health at the big league level. Renato Nunez will continue to be the team's primary designated hitter.
