Former New York Jets franchise-tagged safety Marcus Maye agreed to a three-year, $28.5 million deal with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, according to a source. The contract includes $15 million guaranteed. Maye played in only six games in his final season with the Jets and underwent successful surgery on a torn Achilles in November. It remains to be seen if the 29-year-old former second-round pick will be ready for the start of the 2022 season, but either way, the Saints are landing a big-ticket free agent to bolster their secondary. In 2020, Maye had a career-high 88 tackles (52 solo), four tackles for loss, two interceptions, 11 passes defensed, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two sacks in 16 games for Gang Green.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
